• Process and complete your resume generation requests
• Authenticate your identity
• Send you technical notices and support messages

3. Data Storage and Security

We use Supabase for secure data storage. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services such as Google (for authentication) and Gemini AI (for content generation). These services have their own privacy policies governing the use of your data.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and local storage to maintain your session and save your preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can manage your resume data directly within the application.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Specifically:

• Account data (name, email, authentication info): Retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• Resume content: Retained until you delete the resume or close your account. You may delete individual resumes at any time from your Dashboard.
• Shared resume links: Shared resume data is stored for up to 30 days from the creation of the share link, then automatically deleted.
• Credit transaction logs: Retained for 12 months for dispute resolution and financial record-keeping, then permanently deleted.
• AI generation inputs: Text you submit to our AI (resume background, job postings, etc.) is processed in real-time and not stored by ResumeWalk beyond the session. Our AI provider (Google Gemini) processes this data under their own retention policies.
• Analytics and usage logs: Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely. Raw event logs are deleted after 90 days.

To request deletion of your data, email us at info@resumewalk.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and local storage to maintain your session, save your preferences, and collect anonymous analytics. You can manage cookie preferences via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, or through your browser settings. Rejecting non-essential cookies will not affect core functionality.
